La Mechanic B7000 es distingeix per la seva flexibilitat i adherència elàstica, cosa que la fa adequada per unir materials que puguin experimentar vibracions o petits moviments, com pantalles o components electrònics. A diferència dels cianoacrilats, que són rígids i fràgils davant les vibracions, i dels epoxis, que són durs i poc elàstics, la B7000 manté una fixació resistent alhora que suporta un cert grau de flexió sense trencar-se.

La B7000 és compatible amb vidre, metall, plàstic (incloent-hi ABS i policarbonat), fusta, tela i ceràmica. No se’n recomana l’ús sobre superfícies de silicona pura, polietilè, polipropilè o altres plàstics de baixa energia superficial, ja que l’adhesió pot ser limitada o insuficient.

El temps d’assecat superficial és d’aproximadament 6 minuts, però per obtenir la màxima resistència mecànica i química calen de 24 a 48 hores de curat complet. És recomanable no sotmetre la unió a càrregues mecàniques exigents fins passat aquest temps; altrament, el rendiment estructural serà inferior.

La B7000 emet vapors moderadament irritants a causa dels solvents orgànics de la seva composició. Es recomana aplicar-la en ambients ventilats i evitar el contacte prolongat amb la pell i les mucoses. No és apta per a contacte alimentari ni per a aplicacions en objectes que estaran a la boca o per a ús mèdic.

Sí, la B7000 es pot retirar amb cura de la majoria de superfícies llises fent servir espàtules de plàstic i aplicant calor moderada (40–60 °C) per estovar la unió. Convé fer-ho lentament per no danyar components delicats. No es recomana l’ús de solvents agressius sobre electrònica sensible.
