El TDA7297 destaca per oferir una sortida estèreo real de 2 x 15 W amb baixa distorsió harmònica i soroll, gràcies al seu disseny de doble canal en pont. Tanmateix, la seva baixa impedància suportada (4-8 Ω) pot limitar l’ús amb altaveus de molt alt rendiment.

Requereix una font d’alimentació DC de 12 V i almenys 2 A, amb polaritat positiva central. El connector típic és un jack estàndard tipus barril de 5,5 mm x 2,1 mm. L’ús de fonts amb voltatge inadequat (per sota de 8 V o superior a 18 V) pot danyar el mòdul o reduir-ne el rendiment. No inclou la font a la caixa.

El mòdul fa aproximadament 42 mm x 40 mm x 30 mm i pesa uns 38 g. La caixa sol incloure únicament la placa muntada (sense carcassa, cables ni font d’alimentació). Es recomana revisar la descripció del venedor per confirmar els accessoris.

El mòdul és pràcticament lliure de manteniment, excepte la neteja de pols i la verificació de connexions.
